Claims service provider McLarens has appointed Shoukat Ali Bhamani to the newly created role of chief information officer (CIO).
In his new role, he will join McLarens’ global management team and report directly to chief executive Gary Brown.
Ali Bhamani has previously worked as interim CIO at Columbia Forest Productions and chief technology officer at Serta Simmons Bedding. He also spent 15 years in various leadership positions at automotive company Schaeffler.
The firm said Ali Bhamani has a track record of “building high-performing, business-aligned technology teams” and in his new role he will focus on “strengthening ERP systems, enhancing data infrastructure and advancing the company’s analytics capabilities”.

Brown said: “As we accelerate our digital and data transformation, the role of CIO is critical in ensuring we scale with speed, security and efficiency.

He graduated in 2017 from the University of Manchester with a degree in Geology. He spent the first part of his career working in consulting and tech, spending time at Citibank as a data analyst, before working as an analytics engineer with clients in the retail, technology, manufacturing and financial services sectors.View full Profile
