’His extensive insurance knowledge and experience will add significant value to Sabre,’ says chair
Sabre Insurance has appointed David Neave to its board as a non-executive director.
Neave has years of experience in the UK general insurance industry, spanning executive, non-executive and advisory roles.
Among positions he has held include chief executive at Co-operative Insurance between 2005 and 2013, with him leading transformation and technology initiatives.
Prior to that, he spent 25 years in various positions at RSA, where he finished as the claims service director for UK claims.
Neave has also held advisory roles at Accenture UK, the Insurance Fraud Bureau and the ABI. More recently, he served as a non-executive director on the board of Direct Line Group.
He is currently is currently the chair of the advisory board at Caps and is a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
‘Significant value’
Neave is set to join Sabre on 1 August 2025.

On appointment, he will join Sabre’s Audit and Remuneration Committees.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
