Covéa Insurance chief people officer Lisa Meigh has said her firm is ”absolutely thrilled” to have won the Insurer Diversity and Inclusion Excellence Award at the 2023 Insurance Times Awards.
Meigh and chief executive George de Macedo picked up the award, which was sponsored by Ican, at the event in the iconic Grosvenor Hotel in London earlier this month (6 December 2023).
The judges were impressed with the Covéa team’s “overwhelming passion that related to all aspects of equality, diversity and inclusion, as well as the compelling statistical evidence and bold initiatives to address gender-balance”.
After picking up the award, Meigh told reporter Isobel Rafferty: ”We are absolutely thrilled and this award in particular is so important to us because this is a win for everybody in Covea. It is special for us.”
