Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) has announced the formation of a new affinity executive team. The team is charged with doubling the size of the business, profitably, by 2010.

R&SA's affinity division works with intermediaries looking to drive additional revenue by using insurance as an add-on product.

Three new roles have been created, reporting into affinity managing director, Julie Hopes. The new team is: Mark Allan, sales director, Andrew Elkington, relationship director, Gary Davess, commercial director, and Ian Currie, director, R&SA Motability.

Allan has been with R&SA for 12 years in a number of commercial and operations roles, and also worked as a director within the Sequence estate agency business for three years when it was owned by R&SA. Allan will take up his new position on 1 June 2007.

Elkington has spent the last four years at National Australia Group. Prior to that he worked in various sales and marketing roles with AXA Life, Green Flag, and AMP Pearl. Elkington will take up his new position on 1 May.

Davess brings 24 years of experience with R&SA to the role and knowledge spanning all personal lines products and distribution channels; More Th>n, broker and affinity. Davess was previously the head of affinity, pricing and underwriting. Davess took up his new position last month.

Under the restructure, Currie and the Motability team will also report to Hopes as part of the affinity team. Currie has been leading the Motability team since 2004.
