Nikki Kitchen - Crawford & Company

Nikki Kitchen has made a firm impression on colleagues at Crawford & Company in her role as bid management and process manager.

"Nikki has impressed both the executive board at Crawford and our clients with her dedicated, intuitive and most importantly, service oriented approach to developing and improving relationships both internally and externally," said Benedict Burke, managing director of UK operations.

Nikki was recruited to the role in 2003. After a three-month "tour of duty" within sales and marketing, she reported her findings to the executive board. Her proposals were accepted and she was empowered to implement them.

"Crawford & Company was not on the AXA personal lines panel prior to our 2003 review. We were impressed with the insight shown of AXA's ethos. Crawford comprehended our needs clearly and articulated them very well. Nikki Kitchen project managed their response and she got it right," said Julian Strutt, AXA claims supply chain strategy manager.

Nikki has made a significant contribution to improving Crawford & Company's business. In the last 12 months, the company has seen a £5.1m revenue increase.

JLT Corporate Risks chief executive Dominic Burke said: "In 2003 we decided to outsource some claims handling. We looked at a number of options but decided to appoint Crawford. We asked them some tough questions and then did our due diligence. It was clear they had done their research and were well prepared. We were particularly impressed with Nikki Kitchen. She was pivotal to their team. We liked her."
