Aon Re Global has named Elliot Richardson to head up its global cedant facultative reinsurance activities.
Richardson has resigned from his role as head of facultative reinsurance at Benfield and he will be joining Aon as soon as his employment with Benfield comes to an end.
He will be based in London, reporting to Michael O'Halleran, chairman and CEO of Aon Re Global.
O'Halleran said: "We have already made considerable progress in cedant facultative reinsurance. This appointment demonstrates our commitment to investing further in our capability to serve our clients in this important area of business, which has high growth potential."
