AXA PPP Healthcare has issued a new business support manual to its intermediaries to help them comply with FSA regulation for general and health insurance.

Part one comprises commentaries and questions and answers on:

  • Customer classification
  • Status disclosure
  • Assessing demands and needs
  • Recommending a suitable product
  • Demands and needs statements uInducements and training
  • Competence (including requirements for employees advising retail customers).
  • There are also tips on preparing an action plan for achieving FSA compliance and commentary on the new EU Distance Marketing Directive, which comes into force on 9 October.

    A second instalment, to be issued in October, will cover further aspects of regulation such as professional development and management information and reporting.
