‘Following a robust year of growth in 2025, this exciting news reflects the market’s growing confidence in our offering,’ says co-founder
Lloyd’s Europe has granted permission for specialist MGA Aspect to operate as a coverholder in the European market.

The announcement, made today (25 February 2026), means that Aspect will be able to enter into insurance contracts across the European Economic Area (EEA) on behalf of Lloyd’s syndicates via Lloyd’s Brussels-based European subsidiary.
Aspect said that the approval puts it in an “even stronger position for 2026, following the last 12 months which has seen broadening of its product range, a number of new senior hires into the team and 52% growth year-on-year”.
It also said that expansion into Lloyd’s global network would support its “ambition to become the high-hazard insurer of choice across Europe for mid-market businesses in difficult sectors”.
Aspect offers several niche products to the market, including for recycling operations, residential buildings with combustible cladding and asylum seeker accommodation.
European expansion
The firm plans to focus on expanding its operations in the Netherlands and Ireland, where it already has an established presence, while looking to develop a footprint in Scandinavia, Spain, Germany, France and Belgium.

Oli Williamson, co-founder and chief underwriting officer at Aspect, said: “Following a robust year of growth in 2025, this exciting news reflects the market’s growing confidence in our offering and our approach to high-risk underwriting and delivery.
“Being part of Lloyd’s global network with our specialist expertise puts us in a highly competitive position and allows brokers to secure everything they need under one roof. We’re excited to see what the year ahead brings.”
