’I’m looking forward to working with members and partners to deliver learning that is relevant, engaging and genuinely valuable in helping the sector thrive,’ says appointee

The Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA) has appointed Manveen Twohill as its new learning and development manager.

In her new role, Twohill will lead the MGAA’s programme of learning and insights, which is the association’s refreshed learning and engagement programme for 2026.

The programme combines a series of in-person and online sessions designed to educate, inform and connect the market through timely conversations on the issues that matter most to MGAs and their businesses.

She will also take a leading role in engaging a segment of MGAA members and ensure these businesses fully leverage their membership to support strategic objectives.

Commenting on her appointment, Twohill said: “What makes the MGAA so unique is the strength of its community and the willingness across the market to share expertise and raise standards together.

”The opportunity to build on that through an expanded programme of learning, technical insight and member-led discussion is incredibly exciting. I’m looking forward to working with members and partners to deliver learning that is relevant, engaging and genuinely valuable in helping the sector thrive.”

Expanded programme

As part of the expanded programme, Twohill will support and co-ordinate the introduction of professional optics aligned with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) professional map competency framework, alongside new learning technical insights.

She will also coordinate the launch of a compass spotlight programme focused on key points in the market calendar, including the January reinsurance renewals.

Julia Coakley, chief operating officer at the MGAA, said: “The MGAA’s learning programme is one of the most valued and distinctive services we provide to our members.

”As the MGA community continues to grow and evolve, we are committed to listening closely to what our members need and responding with practical, high-quality learning that supports professionalism, technical excellence and best practice. Twohill’s appointment is an important step forward as we expand our programme of learning and insights for 2026, working with MGAs, insurers, brokers and supplier partners to deliver an ambitious year of knowledge sharing and market-leading education.”
