’From the moment I met him, it was clear that he’ll not only bring exceptional technical expertise, but also the kind of energy, challenge and commerciality that elevates everyone around him, says regional director
Ecclesiastical has appointed Andy Levens as its new northern regional underwriting manager.

Levens joins from Allianz, where he was most recently property and casualty manager, having progressed through the business in a variety of underwriting roles after joining as a graduate.
Levens said: “I’m really looking forward to getting started with Ecclesiastical, to put what I’ve learned in my career to date to the test and to develop further in this role.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity, and I was drawn in by the company’s heritage and ambitions, along with the great people I’ve met so far. I’m looking forward to re-establishing all those relationships with key partners in the market and learning more about all the industries that Ecclesiastical specialise in.”
Andy Williamson, regional director at Ecclesiastical, added: “I’m delighted that we are welcoming Levens to our team as our new regional underwriting manager.
”From the moment I met him, it was clear that he’ll not only bring exceptional technical expertise, but also the kind of energy, challenge and commerciality that elevates everyone around him.”

“He’s had an exceptional and very successful 25 years of service with Ecclesiastical and leaves our growing P&C portfolio in great shape. We’d all like to wish him many happy years ahead as he enjoys his well-earned retirement.”

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
