This year, brokers trading via insurer extranets gave Aviva Fast Trade and AIG eXtra a maximum overall five star rating. This is the fifth consecutive year that Aviva has been awarded an overall five-star rating by brokers nationwide. This in itself is a huge achievement that no other insurer extranet has achieved.

Over 750 brokers across the UK came forward to rate and assess the performance of insurer extranet platforms, broker management systems and the broker experience of trading with an insurer via a software house platform as part of Insurance Times’ 2023 eTrading survey.

Aviva achieved an overall five-star rating for the second year in a row in both the insurer extranet and insurer via software house analysis. The only insurer to do this before was NIG in 2019 and 2020. After AIG eXtra reentered the survey last year with a four-star rating, it has improved further year-on-year with an overall five star rating for 2023.

Aviva is the second insurer in the history of the eTrading report to achieve five stars in both routes of trading for two consecutive years.

It will be interesting to see if it can make history next year with a third top rating in a row.

The Insurance Times eTrading survey also sought to investigate how brokers perceive the experience of the broker management system at their brokerage. The software houses analysed were Acturis, Applied Systems, Open GI and SSP. Software house Acturis secured top spot among software house platforms for the seventh consecutive year.

The eTrading survey also aimed to investigate brokers experience of trading with an insurer via a software house platform.

Zurich and Aviva have been awarded an overall five star rating by brokers in the 2023 Insurance Times eTrading survey. This is the second consecutive year both insurers have achieved five star ratings by brokers for consistent service across the eTrading route via software houses.

The Insurance Times 2023 eTrading Survey was open to UK brokers between January and March 2023 and a total of 780 brokers nationwide took part in this year’s survey.
