Insurance Times rounds up the biggest appointments, promotions and hires from 15 to 19 July 2024
This week saw a number of high profile people moves stories, with the insurance industry continuing its carousel of hires, appointments and promotions.

On Wednesday 17 July, Axa Commercial announced that it had appointed Gurinder Aulakh to the role of pricing director, while Jean-Sébastien Lagacé was promoted to reinsurance director.
Aulakh joins Axa from Allianz, where he most recently led its mid-corporate pricing transformation.
At the start of the week on Monday 15 July, US insurance firm HW Kaufman Group named Paul Greensmith as its new UK chief executive as part of its expansion plans.
Most recently, Greensmith was the head of global specialty at AIG and, prior to this, was the chief executive of the Lloyd’s and UK company markets at Axa XL.
He will join the US insurance firm in October this year.
Also on Monday, news came that Charles Manchester was retiring from Pen Underwriting and Manchester Underwriting Management (Mum). Manchester founded founded Mum in 2010 after taking a sabbatical in 2009 and took on the role of chief executive.
Manchester said he felt it was time for them to move on now that Mum was fully integrated into Pen.
And on Thursday 18 July, Ageas UK appointed former Direct Line Group (DLG) c-suite member Aurore Lecanon as its new chief risk officer.
Lecanon, who has 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector, will take up her new position in September 2024.
