Lycetts has appointed John Dawson as its new commercial director.

In his new role, he will lead Lycetts’ insurer relationships and help shape the broker’s commercial strategy and client proposition.
His responsibilities will also include sales, marketing and the firm’s underwriting centre of excellence.
He brings experience spanning insurer distribution, broking, product development, eTrading and digital strategy, having spent more than 12 years at Zurich.
During his time with the insurer, he held roles including head of distribution and commercial eTrade manager and represented Zurich on the board of Polaris UK.
Dawson joins the business from Markel, where he most recently served as broker sales director and digital director.
He said: “Lycetts has built an excellent reputation for its technical expertise, strong insurer relationships and highly personal approach to service.
“I’m delighted to be joining the business and look forward to working with colleagues and partners to develop our propositions, support growth and set even higher standards for clients. Being part of the Benefact Group also gives that growth a wider purpose, helping to generate more funds for charities and good causes.”

His commercial insight and proven ability to deliver meaningful change will play an important role in supporting our growth ambitions.
“Sadler’s new role will bring greater focus to our major clients, drawing on his considerable expertise.
“Together, these changes strengthen our leadership team and ensure we remain well positioned for the future.”
