
Yiannis Kotoulas
Yiannis is editor at Insurance Times and the winner of 2023’s Most Promising Newcomer and 2024’s Story of the Year prizes at the Biba Media and Journalism Awards.
With a particular interest in regulation, technology, innovation and political stories, he has covered issues from the multioccupancy buildings scandal to the insurance implications of quantum computing and the growth of new markets.
He graduated with a degree in history from the University of Exeter in 2017 and cut his teeth in journalism at a dental magazine. Before moving into the world of insurance in 2022, he also worked as a senior reporter at a magazine for opticians.
Outside of work, Yiannis is an obsessive Arsenal fan and enjoys the simple things – long country walks, a good book and the pub.
