‘By bringing our teams closer together and removing traditional silos, we’re positioned to grow faster, innovate more effectively and deliver an exceptional service to our partners,’ says chief executive

Premium finance provider PremFina has announced a shake-up of its senior leadership team.

The business, which marked its 10-year anniversary this year, has created new leadership roles across operations, sales and product functions as it targets a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 85% from full-year 2024 to full-year 2027.

Chief executive Sharon Bishop said the new structure would help integrate PremFina’s technology, sales and product capabilities to create “a seamless, end-to-end experience for brokers and customers”.

Moves

Laura Sweetman, formerly chief operations officer, has been appointed to the newly created role of chief product and revenue officer. Sweetman will now oversee both the product and sales teams, focusing on innovation and delivering for brokers.

Sweetman, who has over 20 years of industry experience, will work closely with chief technology officer Tony Livesey to try and ensure the firm’s proposition evolves in line with broker needs.

Meanwhile, Maz Chambers has been promoted from chief transformation officer to chief operations officer. Chambers, who joined the business in 2024, previously held senior roles at Klarna, Close Brothers and Lloyds.

She has worked alongside Sweetman over the past six months to strengthen operational performance and service levels.

In addition, Ben Lemmon has been promoted to business development director. He has been with PremFina for five years and will lead new business activity.

‘New chapter’

The announcement follows an investment programme across people and technology, as the business looks to increase its premium finance volumes to £1.9bn. Of this, £1bn is already contracted.

Since the current leadership team joined in 2021, PremFina has also expanded its broker partnerships to over 200. Recent additions include Markerstudy Distribution and Ardonagh.

Bishop said: “This marks an exciting new chapter for PremFina. With the financial strength we’ve built and a fast-expanding broker community, we’re confident in our ability to continue disrupting the premium finance market.

“Announcing these changes on our 10th anniversary is a proud milestone – and a clear signal of the momentum we’re building for the next decade.”
