One of those leaving is the chief executive of Allianz Personal Steve Treloar, who says he is ’immensely proud of all that we have achieved’

Two Allianz c-suite executives will be stepping down from their roles later this year, according to a statement released today (24 May 2023).

One of those leaving is chief executive of Allianz Personal Steve Treloar, who will leave the business at the end of June.

Treloar was appointed to the role in 2021, with the move seeing all Allianz UK personal brands coming together into one operating entity.

He was also the chief executive of LV= General Insurance, where he helped lead the venture that would see Allianz purchase the group.

The process to appoint a successor is currently underway.

Treloar said: “It has been an absolute privilege to work alongside such a talented, dedicated and passionate team.

“I am immensely proud of all that we have achieved over the last seven years.

”Having completed the integration of the L&G General Insurance business, now is the right moment to pass on the baton.”

Colm Holmes, chief executive of Allianz Holdings, added that Treloar played a “crucial role in the success of our business”.

“I would like to thank him for his significant contribution that has earned us the recognition of being one of the leading personal lines insurers in the UK,” he added.

“Whilst a successor has not yet been appointed, I am thankful that Steve has agreed to work with the Allianz Personal senior leadership team to ensure a smooth transition.”

Who else is leaving?

Meanwhile, Fernley Dyson will also leave his role as chief financial officer for Allianz UK on 30 May 2023 after four years with the business.

Prior to Allianz, Dyson was the chief financial officer at Ageas and held a number of senior positions at Aviva.

He will be succeeded by Ulf Lange, who is currently head of business division for global lines and Anglo markets at Allianz SE

Dyson said he was “privileged to have been part of an amazing team”.

“It’s now time for me to move on and wish all of my friends and colleagues at Allianz the very best for the future,” he added.

Holmes said: “Fernley has played a key role in building our business and leading finance functions through the acquisitions of LV= general insurance and L&G general insurance. I wish him well for the future.

“I have no doubt the expertise and experience Ulf is bringing to Allianz will aid our future success.

”I’d like to extend a warm welcome to him and I look forward to working together.”
