’He brings an unparalleled understanding of the unique dynamics of a wide range of cyber events,’ says global head

Crawford and Company has appointed Will Gow as its new UK head of cyber and technology risks.

The role will see Gow take responsibility for managing all cyber claim activities undertaken by the UK cyber team, as well as the corporate casualty specialist and international risks team.

A specialist in cyber and digital asset-related insurance claims, Gow will bring expertise across a range of areas to the role.

This includes ransomware attacks, data loss, business interruption, fraud and incident response.

Paul Handy, global head of cyber risks, said: “Crawford is a market leader in the management of cyber-related losses and Will’s appointment will strengthen that position further.”

Experience

Gow joins Crawford from QuestGates, where he was most recently head of cyber, digital assets and financial lines.

He was previously a senior adjuster and solicitor at ASL, where he specialised in cyber, and prior to that was a solicitor at Plexus Law.

“Gow brings an unparalleled understanding of the unique dynamics of a wide range of cyber events,” Handy said.

“As the cyber risk environment continues to evolve at incredible speed, Crawford’s ability to attract exceptional talent in this field to our team will continue to be a key differentiator for our clients.”
