AXA PPP healthcare is launching a new medical policy for the self-employed.

The individual medical insurance will offer a range of cover options with a business support service, giving customers help to run their company during an illness.

Business support includes a 24-hour legal advice line covering issues such as consumer, commercial and property law. There will be a telephone answering service to handle calls while the insured party is in hospital.

It would also provide cash windfalls of up to £1,000 when the customer is hospitalised for eligible treatments.

The policy will carry a commission rate of up to 40% and goes live on 1 November.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
