The newly created role, which sits within Allianz’s central data team, will see Reehana lead the strategy, architecture and product delivery of AI initiatives. He will focus on aligning advanced technologies with the firm’s goals and overseeing the rollout of enterprise-scale AI and machine learning platforms.
According to Allianz, the position will also involve promoting collaboration across business units and ensuring the ethical and scalable deployment of AI-driven tools.
Reehana joined Allianz in May 2023 as data science manager, where he managed a portfolio of data science, machine learning and AI activities. He played a role in the design and migration of AI platforms and helped implement generative AI within the business.
Before joining Allianz, Reehana held positions at EY’s AI centre of excellence and at Crawford and Company, leading global data transformation projects.

Fergal Coburn, chief operating officer at Allianz UK, said: “I am delighted to welcome Reehana to his new role. I’m confident that his extensive experience and strategic vision will drive innovation and competitive advantage, ensuring Allianz UK remains at the forefront of the industry.
