Insurance Times rounds up the top five stories making headlines across the market from 13 October to 17 October 2025
Among the top five stories this week include Bentley Motors launching its first ever bespoke insurance service.
The new proposition, which has been developed by Bentley Financial Services, Chubb European Group SA and Carbon Insurance Brokers, is dedicated exclusively for Bentley customers in the UK.
Meanwhile, it was also announced that Gibraltar-based insurer Premier Insurance Company had entered administration, prompting warnings from regulators for UK policyholders to seek alternative cover.
Premier Insurance Company, which was authorised and regulated by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC), operated in the UK on a freedom-of-services basis, which means some UK customers hold policies with the firm.
Elsewhere, Aon appointed Michelle Beverely as its new chief broking officer for commercial risk.
In her new role, Beverely will be responsible for shaping the UK commercial risk broking strategy and strengthening relationships with insurers.
Following this, Aviva announced it had gone live with a new insurance proposition on ICE InsureTech’s policy administration platform, a new step in its strategy to modernise systems and strengthen its personal lines offering.
The new proposition, which launched in September 2025, is fully digital and white labelled, enabling tailored journeys across multiple channels.
Finally, Specialist Risk Group (SRG) acquired a new wholesale team, led by Shelley Wright, from Lockton.
SRG said it made the move to expand its London market capability and specialist proposition across Miles Smith, CBC Partnership and The Underwriting Exchange (TUE).
