Niche lines insurance group Atec has launched a new specialist product offering comprehensive cover for small UK events.

The product, called InsureMy Event, is underwritten by A-rated Bspoke Insurance and provides cover for organisations hosting small, one-off events such as village bonfire nights and fairs.

The policy includes both public and employers’ liability, with cancellations and accidents among issues covered.

There are also liability limits of up to £10m per event.

Niche risks

InsureMy Event is the latest addition to Atec Group’s InsureMy brand, which includes wedding, caravan, boat and beach hut insurance.

James O’Hara, commercial director at Atec Group, highlighted that InsureMy Event showcased the firms ability to create ”innovative digital solutions” for ”specialised and niche risks”.

He added: “Underserved areas of the market are our sweet spot. Small event insurance, with its low average premiums, is not a product many insurance businesses view as profitable.

“But thanks to our tech and data-driven approach, we can deliver streamlined quote and buy journeys, slick experiences and better outcomes for customers in these niche lines.

“InsureMy Event contributes to the smooth running of events and delivers vital peace of mind against unforeseeable mishaps and issues.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
