‘We’re delighted to deepen our relationship with the AA and launch a straightforward tyre cover that truly complements roadside assistance,’ says managing director
Strategic Insurance Services – part of Specialist Risk Group (SRG) – has partnered with the AA to offer a new tyre insurance product to AA roadside customers.

Strategic said the policy would provide cover for accidental or malicious tyre damage that resulted in an AA roadside callout, with policyholders able to claim up to £60 per tyre for up to five claims per year.
Successful claims will result in zero excess charges, with payment options available on monthly or annual plans.
Strategic said that the product “complements the AA’s existing roadside assistance” and provides “simple, affordable protection when tyre damage results in a callout”.
The partnership continues Strategic’s aim of growing its specialist insurance programmes delivered through affinity and distribution partnerships, including other ancillary insurance products it offers through the AA.
Straightforward cover
Christian Freer, managing director at Strategic, said: “We’re delighted to deepen our relationship with the AA and launch a straightforward tyre cover that truly complements roadside assistance.

“It’s another example of how Strategic works with partners to develop specialist protection that responds to common motoring risks and support brokers in offering added value to their customers.”
Matt Grayson, head of road products at the AA, added: “Tyre damage is one of the most common reasons for callouts. By adding an optional, zero-excess tyre policy that’s integrated with the AA roadside journey, we’re giving our members a simple way to limit unexpected costs and get back on the road with confidence.”
