’Our new virtual underwriting assistant will give brokers another, more convenient channel to transact with us,’ says managing director
MGA Commercial Express has deployed a 24/7 virtual underwriting assistant to offer brokers a more responsive service.

The new virtual underwriting assistant, called ‘Jamie’, responds instantly to a wide range of risk appetite, coverage eligibility, excesses and exclusions queries.
It can also provide detailed information on claims, renewals, mid-term adjustments, commissions, remuneration and finance.
Duncan Pritchard, founder and managing director at Commercial Express, said: “Our focus is on giving brokers more access to underwriting support, more capacity, more trading support and more opportunity to learn and grow.
”Our new virtual underwriting assistant will give brokers another, more convenient channel to transact with us.”

The introduction of the new virtual underwriting assistant is part of a number of enhancements as the MGA continues to evolve into a full-service MGU.

This includes adding 13 new hires since January across schemes development, underwriting and key account management, introducing widescale rate reductions and strengthening its land liability product.
Pritchard added: “We have invested across our schemes and team to make sure brokers can move quickly, compete effectively and get the right outcomes for their clients.
”As we continue to develop our MGU model, broker experience remains at the centre of everything we do.”
