Specialist digital assets insurance broker Native has appointed cyber insurance expert Freddy Knight as its new divisional director for broking.
In his new role, Knight will take on responsibility for developing the firm’s broker proposition, as well as supporting partner initiatives and bringing new insurance products to market.
Knight brings over 15 years of experience to the new role, with his former positions including head of cyber at Stackhouse Poland and co-founder and innovation director at Optimum Specialty Risks.
Most recently, Knight worked in a cyber and technology consultancy role for his own firm Knightworks Strategies.
Native focuses on digital assets and cryptocurrency insurance and recently brought together cyber security vendors and a pool of Lloyd’s underwriters to launch a framework that provided better insurance terms to crypto firms’ based on better cyber security protocols.
Instrumental appointment
Commenting on the appointment, Native co-founder and chief executive Ben Davis said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Knight to the Native team. As our newest team member, he will be instrumental in shaping and expanding our broking proposition.
