Pool Re’s chief communications officer Tracey Paul has been appointed as a peer to the House of Lords.

The move was confirmed by the Prime Minister’s office on 10 December 2025. She has been recognised for her services to terrorism insurance and wider public life, having spent more than three decades working across public policy and political arenas.
Paul said: “Joining the House of Lords is a huge honour and I’m looking forward to working on issues that matter to me and the country.
”I am grateful to Pool Re for giving me the opportunity to work on many areas, including national resilience and counterterrorism, which I intend to pursue in the future.
”The City of London is one of our national success stories and I will take all I have learnt here into my new position.”
Experience
Since joining Pool Re in 2018, Paul has led strategic engagement and communications, contributing to national resilience against terrorism risk.

Her work has included advancing awareness of terrorism insurance, expanding coverage to include business interruption and liaising with government and industry stakeholders to address evolving threats.
Earlier in her career, she held senior roles in the Labour Party, including leading strategic communications during general election campaigns.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
