’Creating inclusive environments is essential if we’re to attract and retain the talent that builds aspirational, future-ready businesses and high-performing teams,’ says chief underwriting officer

Dive In – the annual market-wide talent and culture festival – has announced that its 11th event will take place between 16 and 18 September 2025.

The festival was launched in 2015 by Inclusion at Lloyd’s – a collaboration between Lloyd’s of London, the International Underwriting Association, the London and International Insurance Brokers’ Association and the Lloyd’s Market Association. The collective aims to highlight how diversity and inclusion initiatives play a “crucial role in business resilience”.

The festival’s theme for this year is ’Belonging Builds Tomorrow’.

Dive in said that for 2025, it aims to build on the momentum of its 10-year anniversary –which drew 44,329 attendees from over 100 countries.

Registration opens 17 July 2025, with events taking place both virtually and across the globe.

Nick Line, chief underwriting officer at Markel International and chair of inclusion at Lloyd’s, said: “We’re operating in an era of unprecedented change across politics, economics, societies and technology.

“This environment demands a resilient talent base that’s equipped to meet the challenges facing our industry and our customers, through constant innovation, calculated risk-taking and meeting the expectations of our many stakeholders.

“‘Belonging Builds Tomorrow’ isn’t just a theme, it’s a call to action.

“Creating inclusive environments is essential if we’re to attract and retain the talent that builds aspirational, future-ready businesses and high-performing teams.”

Campaign

Dive In 2025 will also once again launch its global social media campaign, called #WhereIBelong.

This invites professionals from across the world to post a photo on LinkedIn and Instagram showing where they feel they belong.

The campaign encourages professionals to include a caption that explains how belonging helps them bring fresh ideas, work smarter or perform at their best.

Natalie Gibbons, carrier management director for CRB North America at WTW and Co-Lead of the Dive In US Volunteer Team, said: “Creating workplaces where people feel they belong isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s a strategic business priority. The organisations that thrive are those that tap into the full potential of their people.

”Belonging fuels engagement, collaboration, innovation and smarter decision-making. It helps create a culture to attract and retain talent, build resilience and drive sustainable growth. It’s how businesses create the environment for people to perform at their best and shape the future of our industry.”
