’This campaign proves that the City is enthusiastic about coming together with one voice for a cause that touches everybody,’ says managing director

The Lloyd’s market is set to host the largest city-wide health and wellbeing campaign ever undertaken this October.

The breast cancer awareness campaign, entitled Be Breast and Chest Aware: Make Self-Checks a Lifesaving Habit, is supported by Lloyd’s Corporation and the wider Lloyd’s insurance market, as well as wellbeing services provider Thrive4Life.

The campaign has secured over 20 corporate sponsors, including Lloyd’s Corporation, Allianz, Axa XL, Axis, Aspen, Antares, Arch, Apollo Underwriting, Chubb, CNA Hardy, Dale Underwriting, GPM Development, Harrison Holgate, IFN, Liberty Specialty Markets, Lockton, Newline Group, Ryan Specialty, SCOR, Tysers and Velonetic.

Janice Kaye, managing director at Thrive4Life and director of the Lloyd’s market health and wellbeing talks initiative, said: “This campaign proves that the City is enthusiastic about coming together with one voice for a cause that touches everybody.

”By making breast and chest self-checks a habit, we are not only raising awareness but equipping people with a lifesaving skill.

”Thrive4Life are thrilled to make this happen and see such amazing sponsorship support across the City. With this success, Thrive4Life will launch further critical health and wellbeing campaigns in 2026 covering key topics such as heart disease, diabetes and mental health.”

What will the campaign include?

The campaign will be headlined by a keynote speech by London-based breast cancer surgeon Joanna Franks in the Lloyd’s building on 9 October 2025.

This will also be available via livestream.

To support the awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer, Thrive4Life is running specialist nurse-led breast self-check sessions at the Lloyd’s Wellbeing Centre and virtually for remote workers.

Each session covers personal health history, understanding signs and symptoms to look out for and with clear guidance on next steps if concerns arise.
