’We wish her all the best for the future,’ says board member
HDI Global has announced that its UK and Ireland chief executive Stephanie Ogden will leave the business on 31 January 2026.

Ogden took up the role in June 2024, taking over from Richard Taylor after he decided to retire that year.
She is leaving the business to join Munich Re, where she will drive long-term strategy at Munich Re Syndicate.
She is set to start on 1 March 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
David Hullin, member of the HDI Global executive board, said: ”Ogden has made a significant contribution to our UK and Ireland business and successfully delivered on our local strategy, strengthening our market position and client relationships.
“We wish her all the best for the future.”
Succession
Effective 1 February 2026, Simon Hunt, currently chief financial officer, will assume the role of interim chief executive, subject to regulatory approval.

Since joining HDI Global in 2019, he has worked across corporate and specialty and previously ensured continuity as managing director during Ogden’s maternity leave.
Alongside Hunt’s appointment, Ger Twomey will step in as interim chief financial officer, taking responsibility for finance and risk, subject to regulatory approval.
Hullin said: ”We are pleased to appoint Hunt as interim chief executive to ensure continuity and maintain our strategic focus for our clients and broker partners.
“We are also appointing Twomey as interim CFO, an experienced leader with strong track records across finance and risk.”
Hunt added: “I’m honoured to take on the interim chief executive role and continue the great work HDI is doing in the UK and Ireland, working alongside our talented team here.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
