RiverStone International has confirmed the appointment of Charlotte Pritchard as UK chief executive, effective from 5 January 2026.

Pritchard will succeed Andrew Creed, who becomes group president on the same date, while retaining his position as group chief financial officer.

She has spent the past eight years at RiverStone International and most recently served as group risk and compliance director. In that role, she oversaw all risk and compliance matters and led cross-border teams across five territories.

RiverStone International is one of the market’s largest acquirers and reinsurers of legacy and discontinued insurance business.

Since 2010, it has completed 47 transactions, acquiring around $17.7bn of gross liabilities. In 2024, the group reported $300m in adjusted profit before tax with a 19.1% return on opening adjusted tangible book value.

‘Complete confidence’

RiverStone International group chief executive Luke Tanzer said Pritchard had built strong relationships across the organisation and “delivered consistent results”.

He added that she “brings a wealth of experience to the role and has consistently demonstrated her capabilities” during her time as group risk and compliance director.

Creed said he had “complete confidence” in Pritchard’s ability to lead the UK business. He noted that her “strong presence and proven track record” at the firm made her an “outstanding choice” for the role.

Pritchard said she looked forward to working closely with the executive team and the UK boards as the organisation “shape the next chapter together”.

RiverStone International operates across the UK company and Lloyd’s markets, as well as in Bermuda, the USA and Europe. It has acquired more than $17.7bn of liabilities since 2010 and currently holds around $6.7bn in total liabilities.
