Pen Underwriting has appointed Lorraine Malcolm as a senior underwriter for Scotland in its commercial risk managed team.
In her new role, Malcolm will be based in Glasgow and will help underwrite, manage and grow portfolios of commercial insurance.
She brings more than 30 years’ commercial underwriting and trading experience across property and casualty risks to the role.
Malcolm said: “I am delighted at the opportunity to join Pen Underwriting, whose growth journey to become one of the largest MGAs in the UK over the past 10 years has shown it to be ambitious, focused and forward-thinking.

Experience
Most recently, Malcolm was responsible for Scotland and Northern Ireland as property and casualty manager at Allianz.

Prior to this, she was a senior trading underwriter for Aviva within its corporate and specialty risk division and spent a decade with Axa as technical development underwriter.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
