Westfield Specialty International, the non-US arm of mutual insurance firm Westfield Specialty, has appointed London-based Anthony Baldwin as president.

Baldwin’s role will see him take on responsibility for all Westfield Specialty business outside of the US, reporting into global president Jack Kuhn.
Westfield also owns Lloyd’s Syndicate 1200, which it acquired from Argo Group International in 2023.
Baldwin brings over 30 years of experience in the sector to his new role, with that time spent at AIG since 1995. At the American insurer, he held senior leadership roles including UK chief executive, chief executive for Europe and head of international financial lines.
Rapid transformation
Global president Kuhn said: ”Baldwin joins us at an exciting time – Westfield Specialty International has undergone a period of rapid transformation since acquiring Syndicate 1200 nearly three years ago.

Kuhn also thanked interim chief executive Darren Argyle for his support in the role after the last few months.
