Arch Insurance UK’s regional division has appointed Mark McGrady as its new liability underwriting manager.
In his new position, McGrady is responsible for leading the underwriting activities across the product-led liability portfolio for the UK regional business.
The team provides commercial package and standalone policies for a range of complex risks, including consumer products, emerging risks, research and development and prototyping, renewable energy and US exports.
McGrady has taken up the role with effective immediately and reports to Stuart Danskin, director of underwriting for the UK regional division.
Experience
With over 15 years of underwriting experience, the appointee has held commercial underwriting roles at Chapman and Stacey, LV= and Aviva during his career.

He joined Arch in 2022, with him most recently serving as a senior commercial combined underwriter.

Other moves
His appointment follows Mike Bottle being promoted to the role of managing director for the UK regional division in February 2025.
Since then, a number of promotions have been made as part of Arch’s goal to regionally and enhance collaboration across branches nationwide.
These promotions included Ian Grundy, Janice Mullan, Tony O’Reilly and Janine Starkie, who take responsibility for the Midlands and south west, south and Thames Valley, London and the Home Counties, as well as the north and Scotland, respectively.
