’This is another market first for Aviva, reaffirming our commitment to investing in tools and technologies that enable us to work more closely with our brokers to deliver better customer outcomes,’ says broker distribution director
Aviva has revealed that it is launching on Acturis’ placement strategy tool, Unify.
Unify is an artificial intelligence (AI) and data-driven offering that can aid placement strategies with granular insights and appetite matching for brokers and insurers.
Aviva said it was the first insurer to launch on the placement strategy tool. It added that the move would allow it and its brokers to have a shared view of data, which will drive informed decision-making.
Michelle Taylor, broker distribution director at Aviva, said: “This is another market first for Aviva, reaffirming our commitment to investing in tools and technologies that enable us to work more closely with our brokers to deliver better customer outcomes.
”Unify’s detailed insights and ability to match insurer and broker appetites will not only help brokers to maximise their placement strategies, but it will also enhance how we work with them on specific cases, bringing them closer to the decision-making process.”
How the platform works
On the platform, book data will automatically appear and a dashboard gives firms a complete view of the markets that they place business.

The dashboard uses client data that the business has already input into Acturis, meaning they do not need to do anything more than they would normally. Firms retain complete control over their data sharing.
Tony Goddard, chief executive at Acturis, said: “At Acturis, we are committed to helping drive efficiency for our customers.
”We are delighted to have partnered with Aviva.”
Commenting as an Aviva broker now using Unify, Kevin Hancock, chief executive at Yutree, said: “Yutree is excited to be working with both Aviva and Acturis to further refine our placement strategy so that our clients can benefit from the strongest wordings and relationships that we have in the market.
”The additional reporting functionality is especially useful and will help the business to achieve more effective business placement.”
