QuestGates has promoted Greg Laker to the postion of chief executive as part of a senior leadership team restructure.

Moving up from his position as director at the firm, which he has held for over 22 years, Laker succeeds current chief executive Chris Hall.

Hall is set to take up the position of group executive chairman.

Meanwhile, Colin Ganson has been promoted to chief operating officer and Glen Donaldson to chief commercial officer.

Commenting on the leadership change, Hall said: “Since incorporation nearly 25 years ago, QuestGates has grown and is now the largest owner managed claims solutions provider in the UK and Ireland and we have remained committed to providing service focused solutions which enhance Insurers claims offering.

”Laker was one of our very first employees and, during his time with us, has excelled in numerous roles. As we look to the future, the time is right for him to assume day to day leadership of the business and put in place a succession strategy which supports our unique culture which is vital if we are to continue to be responsive to our clients and their customers’ requirements.”

Laker added: “Having been part of the business since its creation, I am thrilled to take on the role of chief executive at such an important and exciting time for the QuestGates Group.

”Guided by our ambition to be the most trusted partner in specialist claims-related solutions, I’m looking forward to leading our exceptional team as we work together to achieve the next phase of our sustainable growth strategy.”
